TIMTEC-BB SBB004369 - Introduction
2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride(2-fluoroethylamine hydrochloride) is an organic compound. The following is a description of some of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:
Nature:
-Appearance: 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride as a white crystalline solid.
-Solubility: Soluble in water and alcohol.
-smell: with a special smell of fish.
Use:
-PHARMACEUTICAL: 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride can be used as an intermediate for psychotropic and antidepressant drugs.
-Chemistry: It can be used in organic synthesis reactions, such as the synthesis of fluorinated compounds and other drugs.
Preparation Method:
- 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride can be prepared by reacting 2-fluoroacetonitrile with aqueous ammonia. During the reaction, ammonia water substitutes the fluorine atom in 2-fluoroacetonitrile for the amino group by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of hydroxylamine to give 2-fluoroethylamine. 2-fluoroethylamine was then placed in a hydrochloric acid solution and reacted to form 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride.
Safety Information:
- 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride should follow laboratory safety procedures.
-It is an irritant compound and may cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract.
-Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as laboratory glasses, gloves and protective clothing when in use.
-When storing, keep it in a sealed container, away from fire and oxidizing agents.
-If inhaled, ingested or exposed to this compound, seek medical help immediately.
